Lan Ha Bay Day Cruise & Cat Ba National Park (start and end in Hanoi)
South of Halong Bay and next to Cat Ba National Park is Lan Ha Bay with over 300-or-so karst islands and limestone mountains. Lan Ha Bay is just as beautiful as those of its neighbor, but feel more isolated and untouched. The big bonus of Lan Ha is also the numerous white-sand beaches, which you won’t find at Halong Bay. Geologically, Lan Ha Bay is an extension of Halong Bay but sits in a different province. The waters here carry lots prawns and crabs which makes it great fishing grounds for local people.
7:00 – 7:30 Get picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter, departure to Cat Ba Island
10:15 – 10:30 Reach Cat Ba Island, drive on a scenic coastal from Cai Vieng Port to Beo Harbour.

Our captain steers the cruise slowly, and the poetic scenery of Cai Beo ancient fishing village constantly appears with floating houses lying along the mountainside. You will be surprised at the peaceful beauty of this 7,000-year-old village. The cruise moves further into the core of bay where you can’t help but be amazed by the gift of Mother Nature: a large bay area, the phenomenal emerald water embracing hundreds of rocky islands of various sizes and shapes.

13:00 After lunch, the cruise sails to Viet Hai Port. Disembark and head to the pier, where you will take electric car/bicycle to the ancient Viet Hai Village. Especially for the north and central Vietnam;
In the period between November and April, the weather is variable, from sunny to cold and rainy. It is advisable during this period to bring some rain gear with some warmer clothes. In the period from April to November, it is good to pack a hat with a wide brim, sunscreen (at least SPF15) and a reliable insect repellent. A thin rain poncho is useful all year round.
The south of Vietnam is generally a lot warmer all year round, so warm clothing is not really necessary.
Get Up And Go Vietnam does everything to make your trip an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, we have no control over weather conditions. Our apologies for that!
