Visa for Vietnam
For most countries there is a visa requirement for Vietnam. You can either pre-arrange a visa or opt for an Approval Letter (visa authorisation letter), which you can use to get a Visa on Arrival. Furthermore, make sure that your passport is valid for at least another six months from the date you enter into Vietnam. We offer the cheapest Visa Approval Letter.

HOW TO GET FROM HANOI TO CAT BA
Nowadays it is easy to get from Hanoi to Cat Ba and back. The most convenient way is to book a package trip that includes pick up at your accommodation in Old Quarter Hanoi, a comfortable bus ride from Hanoi to the ferry point in Haiphong, a 30-minute trip by speedboat to Cat Ba Island and a short bus ride that brings you into Cat Ba town.
We can of course arrange a transfer to Tam Coc for those who don’t want to return to Hanoi.
HOW TO GET FROM HANOI TO SAPA
Nowadays it is easy to get from Hanoi to Sapa and back. The way our guests travel depends a great deal on how much time they want to spend in Sapa and how intense they want to do the trekking and of course if travelling overnight is a problem or not.
In our experience the most common way to take an overnight train (soft sleeper) from Hanoi to Lao Cai, which is also a great experience. From Lao Cai it is a short bus transfer to Sapa. For the return journey we recommend a luxury, late afternoon bus back to Hanoi.
