This is one of our own designed tours and one we are definitely proud of! Nature at its best! Fantastic landscapes, magnificent sceneries and local life as we take you on a journey through the most beautiful parts of Vietnam. On this trip we visit Ba Be Lake National Park and Ban Gioc Waterfalls. From there we take you take you on the famous Northern Loop like, Meo Vac, Ma Pi Leng Pass, Lung Cu Flag Tower, Dong Van, Quan Ba and Ha Giang. For sure this will be a trip you’ll treasure the rest of your life…
Day 1: Hanoi – Ba Be Lake
After an early breakfast your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7am in the old quarter in Hanoi for this unforgettable Northern Vietnam journey. We start our journey from Hanoi towards Ba Be National Park. On the way we stop at Duom temple, the place where Tay people worship their leader. Lunch will be at a local restaurant in Cho Ra town.
Arrive at Buoc Lom Wharf, embark the boat for a trip along the Nang River to Ba Be Lake, one of 20 biggest fresh lakes on the mountain in the world. On the way we stop at Puong cave, which is famous for its thousands of bats. At Ba Be Lake (three lakes), we visit the An Ma Temple to learn more about the religions and beliefs in Vietnam.
Time for some free time to enjoy the beautiful scenery before we take a short hike (of course with luggage) to our homestay (1km) in Pac Ngoi village, a small village of Tay people. The homestay is located at the most elevated location to give you the best views of the lake.
Dinner will be served later in the evening and a traditional Tay musical performance can be attended (excluded). You can share the show with other tourists.

Day 2: Ba Be NP – Ban Gioc Waterfalls – Cao Bang
After breakfast we continue our scenic drive towards Cao Bang and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before arriving at the impressive Ban Gioc Waterfall.
The falls are the 4th largest waterfall along a national border.
After taking enough time at the falls we will visit Nguom Ngao Cave (Tiger cave) before lunch at a local restaurant.
We drive to Cao Bang where we overnight and to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant later in the evening.

Day 3: Cao Bang – Bao Lac – Meo Vac
After breakfast we head for Bao Lac but we will make a stop visit a local market, used by Red Dzao and Tay people from the area.
We enjoy lunch at the market of Bao Lac, a great way to experience local life. The market in Bao Lac is mostly used by Black Lo Lo and San Chi people.
We continue our way to Meo Vac to visit a village inhabited by flower Lo Lo people. We’ll overnight in Meo Vac.

Day 4: Meo Vac – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Lung Cu Flag Tower – Dong Van
After breakfast we will continue to explore the Karst Plateau Geo Park with the fabulous Nho Que River winding through the landscape and the most dangerous mountain pass Ma Pi Leng. You have probably not seen anything like it, a truly lifetime memory!
We’ll enjoy lunch in Dong Van town from where we will visit the Old Quarter and the office of the Hmong King.
Next stop will be the Flag Pole in Lung Cu, right at the border with China. It is about 24km from the center of Dong Van district and a tourist destination that is meaningful for domestic visitors. Lung Cu mount is liken as “a high forehead of the motherland” where marks the extreme North of our country. From its top, visitors can see the whole of beautiful and spectacular landscape.
We make our way towards your hotel in Dong Van where dinner will be served at a local restaurant later in the evening.

Day 5: Dong Van – Yen Minh – Quan Ba – Ha Giang
After breakfast we make our way towards the Vuong’s Villa, to learn about the life of the Hmong people and King Vuong Chi Sinh.
We visit Lung Cam, a traditional local village and a sewing handicraft village, run by Hmong people.
We make a stop at Quan Ba to visit the amazing Fairy Bosom – the symbol of Quan Ba tourism before making our way to Ha Giang for check in and dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 6: Ha Giang – Hanoi
After breakfast we’ll visit Ha Giang city and the Thanh Thuy border gate between Vietnam and China.
We start making our way back to Hanoi and make some short breaks on the way to visit some temples and a tea plantation.
At around 5pm we’ll be back in Hanoi and we will drop you off at your hotel where the tour ends. We truly hope it will be a lifetime memory.

Useful information
Especially for the north and central Vietnam;
In the period between November and April, the weather is variable, from sunny to cold and rainy. It is advisable during this period to bring some rain gear with some warmer clothes. In the period from April to November, it is good to pack a hat with a wide brim, sunscreen (at least SPF15) and a reliable insect repellent. A thin rain poncho is useful all year round.
The south of Vietnam is generally a lot warmer all year round, so warm clothing is not really necessary.

What do I need to know?
During the period March to November it will good to pack your swimming gear, a towel, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen (at least SPF15), a reliable insect repellent, toiletries, a camera and lots of batteries. Warm clothing for the cooler months of November to March is advised. How much luggage can I take? Your vehicle has limited space so please keep your luggage to a maximum of 15kgs in a backpack or soft over-night bag and include a small day pack to hand carry for easy access to camera, sunscreen, water etc. Inhibitions can be left in the luggage storage rooms at your hotel with your other unwanted baggage.
