Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be
Your guide for today will warmly welcome you and pick you up from your hotel (district 1 and parts of district 3) in between 08:00 and 8:30 before we begin our fantastic Mekong Delta adventure!
At around 11:30 you board your comfortable river cruiser in Cai Be. After a refreshing welcome drink, we show you our on-board facilities and your cozy cabin. We start cruising around 12:00 and lunch will be served around 13:00. Sit back and watch the fantastic scenery and the daily life of the Mekong Delta people.
In the afternoon around 16:00 you can disembark for a guided leisurely stroll through a village and the surrounding fruit orchards or rice fields. Meet the friendly locals and taste the local produce and fruits.
Get back on board around 17:30 and enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on deck as the sun sets over the magnificent water landscape of the Mekong river. The cruise boat will anchor for the night. The day ends with a delicious on-board dinner at 19:00. You stay overnight on board on your comfortable river cruiser.
Day 2: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – HCMC
You wake up, well rested, to the sound of the river and get ready for another exciting day of sightseeing in the Mekong Delta. At 7:00 the cruise vessel sets off for a sunrise cruise. Watch the locals go about their daily work drying exotic fruits and building ships on the wooden yards while enjoying an early breakfast.
After breakfast and check-out, at around 08:00, we will board a sampan boat to Cai Rang floating market, the region’s busiest and most lively markets. Marvel at the sheer abundance of exotic fruits, vegetables and skillfully handcrafted regional products. We will pull up to the boats for talking and bargaining with the merchants. After the excursion to the market, around 11:30, it is time to start the journey back to Ho Chi Minh City. At around 12:30 we will enjoy lunch in Vinh Long and expected time back in Ho Chi Minh City will be 16:30 where the trip ends and drop you off at your hotel.

Useful information
Especially for the north and central Vietnam;
In the period between November and April, the weather is variable, from sunny to cold and rainy. It is advisable during this period to bring some rain gear with some warmer clothes. In the period from April to November, it is good to pack a hat with a wide brim, sunscreen (at least SPF15) and a reliable insect repellent. A thin rain poncho is useful all year round.
The south of Vietnam is generally a lot warmer all year round, so warm clothing is not really necessary.

What do I need to know?
During the period March to November it will good to pack your swimming gear, a towel, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen (at least SPF15), a reliable insect repellent, toiletries, a camera and lots of batteries. Warm clothing for the cooler months of November to March is advised. How much luggage can I take? Your vehicle has limited space so please keep your luggage to a maximum of 15kgs in a backpack or soft over-night bag and include a small day pack to hand carry for easy access to camera, sunscreen, water etc. Inhibitions can be left in the luggage storage rooms at your hotel with your other unwanted baggage.
