South of Halong Bay and next to Cat Ba National Park is Lan Ha Bay with over 300-or-so karst islands and limestone mountains. Lan Ha Bay is just as beautiful as those of its neighbor, but feel more isolated and untouched. The big bonus of Lan Ha is also the numerous white-sand beaches, which you won’t find at Halong Bay. Geologically, Lan Ha Bay is an extension of Halong Bay but sits in a different province. The waters here carry lots prawns and crabs which makes it great fishing grounds for local people.

08:30 | The trip starts! Our captain steers the cruise slowly, and the poetic scenery of Cai Beo ancient fishing village constantly appears with floating houses lying along the mountainside. You will be surprised at the peaceful beauty of this 7,000-year-old village.
It’s time to learn more about the local fishers, their daily life, and the cultural values shared by our experienced guides.
The cruise moves further into the core of bay where you can’t help but be amazed by the gift of Mother Nature: a large bay area, the phenomenal emerald water embracing hundreds of rocky islands of various sizes and shapes.
10:15 | The boat anchors at dark cave and bright cave ( Sang – Toi Cave). Located in the border region between Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay, this is surely one of the best places for kayaking. Let’s spend one and a half hour doing kayaking to discover stunning limestone structure and interesting natural habitat there.
12:30 | Lunch served with Cat Ba fresh seafood and Vietnamese tradition food. Kindly inform us if you have special request for food vegetarian.
13:30 | The boat moves to the Ba Trai Dao Beach area (Three Peach Islets) where you expect to see white sandy beaches and charming mountain scenery, swim among the cleanest part of Lan Ha Bay, snorkeling (snorkeling activity depends on the tide level and weather condition).
15:00 | The cruise heads back to harbour by different route where you can keep admiring the romantic landscape of Lan Ha Bay.
16:00 | Sunset Party
17:00 | Arrive at Beo wharf, say “Goodbye Lan Ha bay”, ends up an unforgettable trip.

Useful information
Especially for the north and central Vietnam;
In the period between November and April, the weather is variable, from sunny to cold and rainy. It is advisable during this period to bring some rain gear with some warmer clothes. In the period from April to November, it is good to pack a hat with a wide brim, sunscreen (at least SPF15) and a reliable insect repellent. A thin rain poncho is useful all year round.
The south of Vietnam is generally a lot warmer all year round, so warm clothing is not really necessary.

What do I need to know?
During the period March to November it will good to pack your swimming gear, a towel, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen (at least SPF15), a reliable insect repellent, toiletries, a camera and lots of batteries. Warm clothing for the cooler months of November to March are advised. How much luggage can I take? Your vehicle has limited space so please keep your luggage to a maximum of 15kgs in a backpack or soft over-night bag and include a small day pack to hand carry for easy access to camera, sunscreen, water etc. Inhibitions can be left in the luggage storage rooms at your hotel with your other unwanted baggage.
