Day 1:

Hanoi – Explore Halong Bay & Lan Ha Bay – Kayaking – Swimming 

08:00 – 08:30 | Pick-up time in Old Quarter Hanoi for those who book our transfer service.

11:30 – 12:00 | Arrive Tuan Chau Harbor.

12:00 | Transfer to the cruise by tender boat. Welcome aboard Dragon Bay Cruises and enjoy a welcome drink while your cruise manager will give you a short cruise briefing and safety introduction. After that you can check into your cabin.

13:00 | Enjoy fabulous lunch

Lunch is served while Dragon Bay Cruises starts cruising into the quietest parts of magnificent Ha Long Bay, which are quieter and see fewer tourists. We will pass famous Finger Islet, Candle Islet and thousands of uniquely shaped limestone towers and islands.

15:30 | Explore Lan Ha Bay – Ha Long Bay

We will visit Dark and Bright Cave – famous for the pristine natural beauty and poetic, attractive seascape of Lan Ha Bay. This area is great to explore by bamboo boat or kayak or just go for a refreshing swim.

17:00- 18:00 | Sunset Party, Happy Hour and Cooking Demonstration

Back to Dragon Bay Cruises and relax on cruise. It’s time for Sunset in Ha Long Bay. There’s something magical about sunsets. It’s not only the colors but the feeling, the atmosphere, the temperature!

Cooking Demonstration is an onboard activity which helps passengers not only to sample fine cuisine but also learns more about Vietnamese culinary culture.

Cruise Chef will show and guide you how to make Vietnamese traditional dishes such as fresh or fried spring rolls and how to carve different kinds of vegetables and fruits. You may be invited to participate in a fun competition with other passengers to find out who is the fastest to make the dish. Finally, you can have your own dish of food, enjoin yourself or share it with your companions. An interesting activity for those who love cooking and cuisine!

Before dinner, our experienced captain will choose the most tranquil area to anchor for overnight.

Day 2:

Kayaking – Lan Ha Bay – Halong Bay – Hanoi

06:00 | Sunrise Tai-Chi section on sundeck.

Be an early bird for pictures and join our Tai-chi session on the sundeck to refresh your body and mind.

07:00 | Have light breakfast

Dragon Bay Cruises continues to pass by amazing karst towers. Tea, coffee and light breakfast is served with fresh air and peaceful surroundings.

08:00 | Explore Tra Bau floating village

Our small boat brings you to visit a fishing village names “ Tra Bau “ to Join the kayaking experience to explore the Tra Bau area – the famous filming location for Kong Skull Island (King Kong) in Quang Ninh in 2018. You can visit the fish raft and interact with local fishermen to explore daily life and traditional fishing methods. Our conveyer boat will pass slowly through the pearl farming village so you can see how the locals cultivate pearls.

09:30 | Back to the boat for check-out.

10:00 | Brunch time

During the time well prepared lunch is served, Our Cruises slowly navigates emerald water and thousands of Karst Mountains towards the Harbor.

11:30 – 12:00 | Back to Tuan Chau Harbor and transfer back to Hanoi where you’ll arrive at your hotel around 15:00 to 16:00, to end your unforgettable trip.

Useful information

Especially for the north and central Vietnam;

In the period between November and April, the weather is variable, from sunny to cold and rainy. It is advisable during this period to bring some rain gear with some warmer clothes. In the period from April to November, it is good to pack a hat with a wide brim, sunscreen (at least SPF15) and a reliable insect repellent. A thin rain poncho is useful all year round.

The south of Vietnam is generally a lot warmer all year round, so warm clothing is not really necessary.

What do I need to know? 

During the period March to November it will good to pack your swimming gear, a towel, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen (at least SPF15), a reliable insect repellent, toiletries, a camera and lots of batteries. Warm clothing for the cooler months of November to March is advised. How much luggage can I take? Your vehicle has limited space so please keep your luggage to a maximum of 15kgs in a backpack or soft over-night bag and include a small day pack to hand carry for easy access to camera, sunscreen, water etc. Inhibitions can be left in the luggage storage rooms at your hotel with your other unwanted baggage.
