MEKONG DELTA 3D2N (Budget Group Tour)
From the lushly verdant rice paddies of the rolling countryside to the rich and buzzing waterways that serve as a vital lifeline, the Mekong Delta is a place that never sleeps! On this budget 3 days and 2 nights Mekong Delta Tour we leave Ho Chi Minh City and make our way towards My Tho to take a leisurely boat ride along the river. Although loosing some of its greatness visiting Cai Rang floating market is still an experience, we visit a local rice noodle making shop and Tra Su Bird Sanctuary before we arrive in Chau Doc at the Cambodian border. The next day we set off to take a boat trip through the floating village to visit a fish farm to see how the Mekong Delta people raise fish in their floating houses. Visit the a Cham minority with their traditional weaving village, followed by a visit to the unique local Islamic Mosque before we head back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shade of the water coconut trees, which flourish along these natural canals, before sharing a refreshing seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music”, performed by locals.
We head on to visit a family business which epitomizes this idyllic rural lifestyle to taste their delicious coconut candy and observe their pastoral life as you roam through the numerous fruit plantations and villages. We proceed to Can Tho where we where we overnight at the hotel (2*).
The rest of the evening is at your leisure, to relax & soak up the ambiance or perhaps explore the bustling Can Tho market.

Fully relax in the tranquil environment of the beautiful orchard garden.
We’ll stop for lunch (we upgraded the quality of the lunch) and proceed to Chau Doc to continue the tour with a visit to Tra Su, the wild bird sanctuary. In the period from April to November, it is good to pack a hat with a wide brim, sunscreen (at least SPF15) and a reliable insect repellent. A thin rain poncho is useful all year round.
The south of Vietnam is generally a lot warmer all year round, so warm clothing is not really necessary.
