From the train station (arrival time depending on your train) our driver (he will show a sign with your name(s)) will pick you up and take you to the hotel for breakfast. You can leave your luggage that you don’t want to take on this day safely behind! At around 8 a.m. we’ll start this beautiful and adventurous day to the 2 impressive caves in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park.
The first exploration of this day will be the impressive Phong Nha cave (located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, about 50km from Dong Hoi (around 45 minutes driving). After 25 minutes by boat we arrive at Phong Nha cave where we spend a couple of hours. This cave is called the river cave as we explore it by entering by boat. The second cave, after lunch, is Dark cave and is about 20km from Phong Nha cave and 65km from Dong Hoi (around 1h10 minutes driving).
Paradise cave is the longest dry cave in Asia!
Thiên Đường Cave, or Paradise Cave, is a cave in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 60km Northwest of Đồng Hới city. Thiên Đường Cave is located on an elevation of 200 meters above the sea level, near the west branch of the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail. Karst peaks surround the area of the cave and its remarkable cave system extends for 31km, though most people only visit the first kilometer. The scale is breath taking, as wooden staircases descend into a cathedral-like space with colossal stalagmites and glimmering stalactites.
We return to Dong Hoi where we arrive around 5pm. The rest of the evening will be at your own interpretation and overnight will be at the hotel. Depending on your booking this will be based either on dorm or hotel room.
